Our Story

Brecky and Peter grew up just a few zip codes apart - Peter in Fairfield, CT where he attended Fairfield Country Day School (FCDS) and the Canterbury School, and Brecky in Riverside, CT where she attended Greenwich Country Day School (GCDS), and the Westminster School. Despite this geographic proximity and a shared tendency to end up at the same kinds of places, their worlds didn’t officially collide until many years later.

Both made their way to Elon University in North Carolina, where Peter was a member Kappa Sigma and Brecky was a Phi Mu. They shared mutual friends, frequented the same parties, and moved in eerily similar circles, yet somehow, never met. In hindsight, it was probably for the best.

Fast forward to 2022 in New York City, they matched on Hinge. Despite Brecky making it very clear that she was a “busy bee” (which was Brecky politely trying to dodge another mediocre date), Peter didn’t let that stop him. Armed with confidence and a well-rehearsed arsenal of questionable pick-up lines, he managed to win her over.

The connection was instant. Conversations lasted for hours. And in a move that shocked absolutely no one, except maybe Brecky (and her friend Katie that happened to be in the cab), Peter blurted out “I love you” in a time frame that most people would consider… unconventional. Thankfully, it turned out the feeling was mutual.

Since then, their life together has been a whirlwind, they’ve become expert travel buddies and even better teammates in everyday life.

In the summer of 2024, they adopted Millie, their miniature Bernedoodle, who instantly stole their hearts (and Breckys spot on the couch).
